whimpered a bit before turning his head and tearing at my back, the pain was intense as we snarled and attacked each other; until we both tumbled onto the ground together. Now was my chance, while this dog was on the ground. I jumped ontop of him and went straight for his chest, tearing at mounds of flesh and fur. I could hear the group of dogs gasping in awe, as a small yearling was attacking and beating their leader, I bite one last time on his chest, as hard as I could before the Chinook finally hoped onto his paws with a whimper; his chest and side was bleeding badly as he limped off. My back was pretty torn up, and my throat burned.

I turned to look at the group of dogs, they just stared at me in awe. I growled at them before limping back to the boiler room, "Mommy, daddy...I'm hurt" I said sadly walking into the boiler room. It was empty, where were my parents? I sighed and layed on the floor, they popularly went for a walk or something. They would never just leave, I whined as my neck and back burned in intense pain. 'It's okay....They will come back' I told myself over and over again. As the hours ticked slowly by, my eyes began to fill up with tears. They ran down my white and black face, I was hurt emotionally and physically, I started to notice my blood seeping into the cracks of the wood floor. I was hurt worse than I thought, and the pain was so intense. "Mommy...." I whimpered sadly as the tears came down harder, "Daddy, please....come back, don't leave me....I love you" I whined before I buried my face into my bloody paws. Once more, the hours kept ticking by, and I now laying in a pool of my own blood. I could hardly see now, everything was getting blurry and I felt dizzy. Soon enough I couldn't even hold my head up any longer, I layed my head down in a pool of blood. "M-Mommy........D-Daddy......" My voice was weak and pleading as everything suddenly went black.

Yes, it was true; my parents had abandoned me. And this is where I was going to die, and no one cared. That was how it was going to be until someone had decided to give me a second chance in life, someone actually cared for me and all it took was a sincere human; my owner.

I eventually woke up in a warm house, right in front of a fire. I lifted my head slowly, a small food and water bowl sat in front of me, I quickly scarffed it down. I thought to myself for a moment, I had almost died...and It was the fault of those damn parents...It was then that my sweet demour had been shattered. I felt like I hated the world..as if it had owed me something. A pair of rough dry hands run through my fur, it was a large male human,  he wrapped a leather collar around my neck and I looked up into his eyes. With a smile the human opened his mouth to speak; "Good boy....Good boy, Steele"...I had finally been given a name.
