Sometimes I wonder if life for me has meaning, it seems like a constant kick in the ass if you ask me. I’ve never had a sincere friendship or what you call compassion. I grew up hated and alone, why would I need it now in my life? For someone to hurt me again, to break me down, to drive me insane, and to tell me I’m worthless like countless canines have. Even though I try not to let it affect me, it reflects in my actions...but enough about my silly thoughts, how about we start from the beginning.
I remember it as clear as day; my birth was successful. I remember feeling my siblings beside me as we slipped into the world, I remember whimpering and nuzzling my body against my three other siblings. They felt cold and wet, and they didn't whimper, I layed there surrounded by my still born brothers and sister. Once more I had whimpered for my mother, where was she? After laying there for a long moment, a large rough paw and dragged me over to it's belly; my mother. She had finally let me nurse, and I was quite content.; It had taken her quite a while to tend to my needs. After I was finished, I layed next to her belly for warmth, my eyes were a pale blue; for my eyesight was still undeveloped, my pelt was a rich black with some white patches such as my legs, under belly and face. The female that had given birth to me, was a lanky purebred Alaskan Husky. Even though she was skinny and not much of a looker, she had bright eyes that were full of chirisma. But she was an uncaring slut who slept with any male she could get, my birth was unwanted, and with the death of my other siblings, she was even more upset about it.
As I layed relaxed next to my mothers belly, another canine had entered the scene-a large Siberian Husky, he was mostly black excepet for a white stripe going down his tail and his front legs were white. His piercing blue eyes gzaed over at my mother, he furrowed his eye brows and padded towards her. My mother quickly picked up his scent and turned her head to face him, her eyes were full of sorrow as she looked back down at her pups. "Honey...Thery're all...dead...except this one.." My mother said sadly, pointing her muzzle towards the three corpses. She then glanced up at the male, then back down at me-the only living pup. "He's a runt" The male stated simply, "He'll never survive..." He added quietly. This male, was my mothers mate; in other words, he was my father. My mother whimpered as he turned away from her, "Useless pups you give me, I can't even stand to look at you" My father said angrily to my mother; she cringed at his words, her eyes instantly filling with tears, "It's not my fault, darling..." She responded, her voice shaky and her bright eyes growing dull.
My father turned to face her, his expression was full of hatred, "It is your fault, your a disgusting female. The only thing your good for is mating, you can't even give birth to healthy pups. Your weak, hideous, and disgusting" He grunted. The insults flew at my mother like a bullet, that would wound her mentally, but she would not leave him; she had left previous mates but for some reason she would refuse to leave my father. Tears stained the delicate Alaskan Husky's cheeks, her eyes burned with hurt as she cried softly, I could almost feel my mothers pain leaving her body, almost as if I could sense every emotion change that surged through that lanky body of hers. She was at a loss for words and dared not to respond to my fathers insults, instead she kept her back turned, and kept quiet.
The days crept by slowly, turning into weeks, and the weeks turning into months. I was a lot older now, my eyes had turned a bit darker blue and my eyesight had finally came. And I could see the world for myself. At such a young age, I was already going through hell, my mother didn't really care for me. I would go days without food, whimpering and searching for a little scarp to eat. The only shelter we had was the boiler room, which was where I was born. It was pretty cozy, except I couldn't relax with the constant rumble of hunger in my stomach. It had only been a few weeks ago that I was weaned from my mother's delicious milk, and the smell of fresh meat had it's tight grip around my nostrils. I peered over to my mother, she seemed to be eating some type of meat on a large bone. My mouth watered at the sight of her sinking her fangs into the tender meat, and without thinking I ran over to her. She looked up at me, and grunted before continually eating her meal. Pinning my ears back against my skull, I leaned in to take a bite and in a spit second, two large jaws had snapped shut around my muzzle. I was in total shock, all I could do was whimper as my own mother tried to tear off my muzzle.
The sound of snarls and whimpers had awoken my father who was asleep on the other side of the boiler room, he turned to see the scene and quickly hoped to his paws. Trotting over, he opened his jaws and slammed them shut on my mothers back. She yelped and let go of my muzzle, he then let go of my squirming mother, then gave her a warning growl. My mother slinked out of the boiler room, taking her meal with her. I layed on my side, not moving. Had my mother just attacked me? My whole body was shaking, my muzzle had a bit of blood on it, but no real damage was done. "Get up" My father's voice seemed to echo through the small boiler room, after what seemed like an eternity I finally got up on my paws. My father looked down at me, eyeing my muzzle for a moment, "Your fine" He said with a yawn before padding back over towards his sleeping spot. I sighed, he didn't bother to comfort me, or to ask me if I was alight. I fought back my tears and curled up in a corner of the boiler room.
A few hours later, there was a soft bark and a sleek Saluki had entered the boiler room. Her fur was a soft golden color, and her eyes were a bright green. My ears twitched as she pranced over towards my father, she licked his back which woke him up. My eyes bubbled with curiosity, who was the canine? And why did she show my father such affection? My father looked up at her, and his tail had begun to wag with happiness. He hoped onto his paws and rubbed his massive neck along hers, the Saluki giggled and licked his face. I watched the two carefully, I was too young to understand what love was, and I didn't know that even though my father was mates with my mother he had many females lowkey. The two cuddled on the boiler room floor, yipping in happiness and loves, before long the two had begun to get intimate. I didn't understand what they were doing, but I turned my back towards them, pinning my ears backwards. My father was a man whore, who would get multiple dogs pregnant; and this Saluki was no different, she would soon bear young like all the other females my father had been with. But I'll never forget my mother's face when she walked in and saw what my father and the Saluki had been doing. I had placed two paws over my ears, blocking out the sound of arguing, the sound of snarls and whimpers that came from my mother and the Saluki who had gotten into a fight. I had turned my head to look, I watched as my mother was bitten by the taller female-I watched my father sit there and do nothing but watch the two females go at it. Until it resulted in the Saluki running off. What's worse is that I watched as my father punished my mother for walking in on him with the Saluki.
Hell. A place you'll never want to go to, but as you can see; I've been to hell and back. As I grew into a yearling, nothing changed. I was still neglected by my father, and once and a while I was abused by my so called mother; who was supposed to love me unconditionally. At this point in my life, I was pushed around by other canines my size, and that's when I knew I had to fight for my respect. There's one fight that I'll never forget as long as I live, the fight that earned me my right as top dog, and the most popular dog in Nome. The time I had fought a Chinook, who was a year older than me. It all began when I was padding down the street; minding my all business when a group of dogs had surrounded me. My ears had flattened a bit as they growled and snapped at me, that's when the Chinook stepped forward, "Look everyone, it's the whore's son." The Chinook said with a bellowing laugh. The other dogs laughed along with him, I mustered up enough courage to retaliate, "H-How about you say that to my face.." I replied, the other dogs snickered as the Chinook growled in my face, "What did you say runt?" He snapped angrily, I gulped and pushed my nose against his; growling. "You heard me...." I said quietly. There was a long moment of silence before the Chinook had forced me to ground.
My back hit the snow with a thud, as the Chinook tried to bite my neck. As I looked up at this vicious dog, something stirred inside of me, a emotion that I've been holding in for as long as I could remember; anger. Bearing those ivory fangs in my mouth, I lashed out at this dog in front of me. The Chinook was caught off gaud for a moment but he finally had latched his fangs around my throat, the pain I felt only made me grow angrier. Snarling viciously, I sunk my small but sharp fangs into this dogs muzzle. He growled and yelped, before stumbling backwards a bit. The Chinook took one paw and pushed me off, and I flew to the ground. I huffed then jumped back up and charged at the dog, leaping I found my self on the left of the dog, ripping at his side. Blood from this Chinook flowed into my mouth; the taste almost made me vomit. The Chinook whimpered a bit before
