Gaia's Cries
By Ahura Werewolf
The Mother weeps.
Her tears standing her beautiful green gown.
We the children of the Night.
The ones who fill the air with song.
Feel her despair.
Man has scarred her once prestine face.
It used to be youthful and full of life.
But now it is withered and full of sadness.
How can such creatures be born from her?
Are they blind to what they have done?
And deaf to her cries?
Once rivers of clear water flowed. Their mirrored surfaces reflecting the heavens above.
Now they are barren and filled with trash.
Forests that echoed with song birds.
Now only echo with the beeping of machinery and progress.
The only green Man sees is in his greed.
Green is only seen as a person opens their wallet.
But we the children of Gaia.
Feel her suffering beneath our paws.
When will it end?
When will Man realize he has gone mad?
And come to embrace the better parts of his nature.
These are things that everyone of us is uncertain of.
Because we are few, and Man is many.
Soon we will be nothing but bones that you will see in a museum. And not in the glory of the wild.
Man must change before it is too late.
