"What happend?" I asked Arrow. "She was hunting....she went back to the cattle ranch..." He signed. I looked him in the eyes. "What about the pups?" I asked, begging that maybe atleast they were still there. "They were attacked by a bear outside of the fence. I turned and ran downhill. "Where are you going!/!?!" Arrow barked. But he knew the answer. I was going to the cattle ranch. It was just then that I noticed the rain burning my skin. My paw landed in somthing. I looked down. I was ontop of somthing cold and squishy, soaked in blood. I looked around. There was blood and fur everywhere. there were a few dark humps lying around that I couldn't make out, but I diddn't want to. Probably my pups, dead and bleeding.

     I feel at the fence post. I looked around. I couldn't get up. There were cows scattered around inside. They were avoided some shadow in the middle. I had images in my mind of what happened. Her being kicked in the head or trampled. I woke up. The snow had covered me with a thicker coat. I began to limp to the fence post, half still asleep.

I looked around. Somthing near the gap in the fence was moving. Possibly a rabbit. I walked a few more feet, wincing at the pain. So close. So cold. I think I may die before I get there. I crawled to the gap. Whatever it was, it lied down. Then it started to whine. I got closer and closer, then I fell. I saw what it was. I saw what it was. A golden flower. Evander, the last surviving pup. I put my head in my paws. Then, despite my broken leg, I threw up my head and howled. I sat down. I looked at the flower. "I understand." I smiled. I limped my way home. It was becomming daylight. I saw Evander....Evan...sleeping under a pine.

     I crawled up to Cody's door and scratched. "ZUKO! Your Home!" He cried. He picked me up. "You look like you've been through hell...We need to patch up your leg." He said. I looked at the path I took through the woods. "I get it....I'll stay alive, your in my heart."
