Fang kept running all night. How could his pack exile him? He knew the answer, he was a threat to many wolves with his exceeding strength. How can I survive alone I'm only 3 years old!  He thought sadly as he curled up beside a tree trunk preparing to settle for the night.

The next morning Fang had to hunt so he padded after a stray elk calf he smelt nearby. As the calf came into view Fang dropped into a crouch. Fang was just about to pounce on the calf when a pale white wolf leapt at the elk. Enraged Fang leapt at the wolf snarling and snapping at the wolf's neck. Suddenly a whole pack surrounded Fang, forcing him to release to wolf reproachfully, he then realized the calf had got away. Fang turned back to the pale wolf and snarled assessing it. The wolf was in its young adulthood and as far as female wolves go good looking. "Peace brother," the wolf said in a calm voice, " My name is Nava. You are a lone wolf I see why not join us for a time?"

Once Fang had rested, Nava bought a chunk of meat to him, which Fang ripped apart gratefully. Once Fang was ready Nava brought him to the pack gathering and this is what happened; Nava walked up to the top of the cliff and said, "Brothers and sisters! We now welcome back our old pack friend Aniu." Aniu was the most beautiful wolf Fang had ever seen! She was whiter then snow and had yellow eyes with markings around them and was taller then usual wolves, equaling Fang's height. I'm seeing an angle! Fang thought to himself

It was then that Fang realized he had been standing there for a long time, and the other wolves were staring at him like was crazy. So he moved on seeking the white wolf Aniu. She was hard to miss as the sun reflected off her white fur making her look like she was glowing. As Fang came closer to Aniu he realized Nava was with her, flirting. Fang laid his ears back snarling as Nava tried to cult her. Fang pounced on Nava and tore at the back of his neck but Nava was older and learnt to react quickly so he rolled on his back throwing off Fang then jumped on top of him hoping to hold him down and tear the soft under parts of his throat. However Fang was large and, though he did not know it, a natural at fighting so Fang rolled round forcing himself ontop of Nava and tore one of his vital neck veins. Fang prepared to rip apart his face when suddenly a smooth and sweet voice shouted, "ENOUGH!"

Nava turned his head to look at Aniu while Fang simply cocked an ear in her direction refusing to take his eyes off Nava. Aniu continued saying in a reasonable tone, 'Fang? Could you please release Nava." Fang who's rage was subsiding stepped over Nava his ears turning hot from embarrassment of what he had done. Nava got up and stared snarling at Fang, then Nava's eyes glazed and he looked down at his paws and mumbled, "My apologies, brother." he spat the last word with newfound hate. Fang ashamed of his behavior turned and ran through the trees, How many times will this happen? he thought sadly going where his paws took him.

It wasn't long before Fang realized that someone was following him so he looped around coming up on the intruders rear. When he bolted from cover he realized it was a white wolf, 'Aniu!" he exclaimed, why is she following ME? Fang wondered idly staring entranced at the wolf. Aniu replied, "Sorry I followed you, I j-just thought that it was brave of you to stand up to Nava he is after all an alpha, far older then you and there's also the gifts..."

"What gifts?" Fang asked suspicious, but Aniu didn't reply instead she began scenting some rabits, and of course Fang had to follow. Aniu was like a star, sticking out in the green of spring. Fang watched in awe n the shadows as Aniu cought the rabits. Aniu turned and almost called to Fang thinking he had left when she saw his white underbelly in the shadows. His jet black fur hide looking sleek and shiny. As their eyes met Fang walked up to Aniu and licked her muzzle. Embarresed Aniu picked up a rabit and held it out to Fang with her teeth, who took the rabit gratfully and dug into it. Aniu did like wise.

5 months later... 

Aniu stayed with Fang from then on but they never got any closer. Fang fought wolves and occasionaly dogs more and more often, always coming out on top. Soon Fang had many scars and wolves often avoided him. All except Aniu. one day Fang said to Aniu, "why did you stay with me? You could have had every thing with Nava he's an alpha."Aniu padded on a little further into the morning light and said, "I like you I don't know why but I do." The two of them continued on, they hunted a bear- which was a challenge, then went for a swim in the late Autum breeze. Fang found it harder and harder to keep his distance from Aniu. When the sky turned orange the companions had found a den covered in underbush beside a view of the ocean. Aniu's coat was like gold in the late sunlight making it impossible for Fang to look away. Aniu noticed this and kept fidgeting and tried to not look at Fang. Eventualy Aniu looked up and and stared into Fangs eyes for a long time, then moved forward and licked his nuzzle. Fang did likewise in return and came closer and closer to Aniu... and closer... and closer.

Fang woke to find his head resting over Aniu, who stirred and woke stretching stiffly. "You ok?" Fang asked worried that he hurt her when a yelp escaped her. She replied, "Yeah just a little sore." and grinned at him, "That was fun." she added then tried to rise so Fang got up to let her go, missing her warmth already. The two of them laped up some water from a stream a few meteres in from the ocean then moved on again to hunt and find yet another den. That night Aniu's ears pricked up suddenly, Fang suddenly wary lept up and sniffed the air, then snarled. A human was coming toward them, but not A human, four humans. Aniu prepared to bolt for it but Fang stopped her and said, "No! They are coming from all directions and will cut us off, if the don't shoot us!" So Fang stepped over her while she crouched under him and snarled as the men came into view, three with guns and one with a net. Fang lept at the one nearest to him trying to rip the gune from him to get at his throat, he yelped and fell when another man shot at his hind quarters. Behind him he heard Aniu growling and trying to escape from the men. Fang dragged himself up from where he lay and tried to help Aniu but stopped mid step his heart frozen as Aniu was caught up in the net the men trying to escape from Fang. "NO!" he snarled and pounced at another gunman but while Fang was fighting him his human pack abandon the man. Realising this Fang stared at the the place they were last knowing that since he was injured he would never catch them, the man behind him groaned. Hearing this Fangturned to the man and his heart dropped with pity, the man was no older then a human cub how could his pack abandon him, Fang walked up to the man and touched his nose to his forhead and howled over the boy as if he was his own cub. The boy said to Fang, "If you can understand me master of the forest go to the outscirts of Nome to find the white one." Then to himself the boy said, "Near to my death I have gone insane, talking to dumb beasts..." And Fang turned and limped away for the cub was dead...

Fang could not go after Aniu staraight away and had to stay at a temporary den until his injury was healed and so he setteled down nursing his broken heart inside.

Aniu woke to be in a cage and lept up growling and trying to gnaw through the bars, when a human jumped up and cursed kicking Aniu's cage. Aniu looked away and saw many dogs and wolves in cages all around her alarmed she asked a grey scraggy dog in the cage next to her, "W-what is this p-place." the dog looked up and jumped at his bars in his cage. Aniu went as far as she could in her cramped cage away from the dog. A dark grey husky near by her cage with a black leather collor walked up to the frontof her cage and said, 'Your at the dog fights and I am the watchdog Quincy." Quincy began eyeing Aniu intently making her uncomfortable. She replied, "Oh thanks for the infmation."

Quincy smiledand said, "Any time. Oh and by the way your up tonight."

Later that night Aniu was nuzzeled and brought to an arena where she was shoved to the ground and the nuzzle was unclipped. Once the men retreated and locked the small gate leading to the dog cages Aniu looked around. The arena was small and round and four meters above were seats with shouting and cruel men on them. Aniu looked across from her and saw another gate with the grey dog Aniu tried to speak to before being shoved into the arena. Where are you Fang? she thought sadly to herself

Far off Fang was thinking the same thing...
