It's down to me.
I never figured it would end this way.
Man has sealed his dominion over the earth.
He has stripped this world clean.
The once green grass that stretched out beyond the hills like a sea of emeralds is now brown in death.
It's down to me.
Once clear streams that reflected with sunlight are now choked with trash.
The blue sky so bright with fluffy clouds is now a pale dull grey from the pollution,
It's down to me.
The animals that once filled the world with songs are gone.
They could not compete with man's fevered mind for more.
It's down to me.
My brothers and sisters under the moon are gone.
Lives cut short by man's ignorance at what we are.
Warm hearts that beat strongly with life are now silent in death.
Eyes dull and dim.
It's down to me.
I have seen this world go from a place of beauty to a place of retched filth.
Mother Earth choking on the poison that has spread across her.
In the end I cannot live in this world where I am alone.
Man will suffer without my calls in the night.
What a lonely existance they will live.
In the end, I am dead.
