His eyes started to flicker open and he moaned. Tala heard that and stood up and looked into Jakita’s cage and said, “Jakita! Jakita! You awake!”

Jakita slowly got to his feet and he felt loopy and fell down on the medal floor of the cage with a thud. “Jakita you are awake! Thank goodness, I was so worried about you I thought I lost you!”

Tala let her head fall and she looked down at her paws. Jakita smirked and put his paw gently under her chin and held her head up. “I will never leave you.”

Jakita kissed her cheek and leaned up against the cage wall and slid to the floor. Tala smiled and put her nose through the medal bars of the cage and nuzzled Jakita. Then Tala whispered into Jakita's ear as he was asleep, "I love you."

                  A week went by and the vet was in his office cleaning needles that will put Jakita to sleep, he thought that Tala could easily find a home, but no Jakita, no one would want him, and he was too weak to be sent back in the wild. He walked into the dog run and unlatched Jakita’s cage door. Tala then awoke and started crying when she saw the needles, she knew what was to become of Jakita, and then she shouted, “Jakita! Jakita! Wake up! Hurry! Run away!”

                But Jakita didn’t wake up, he was so hungry and thirsty he went into a coma. The vet didn’t care for Jakita he would only take care of Tala since she was a dog. Tala would sneak him some pieces but Jakita never ate it he said it was for her. He was such I kind hearted wolf, if only the humans knew…

                The vet lifted him up on the table. Jakita’s eyes flickered open half way but he couldn’t move he was too weak. Even for a full grown wolf he looked very ill and he looked close to death. Death was waiting for him, and Tala knew it, but she would not give up on him.

                The vet took out two needles and said to Jakita in a calm voice, “The first needle puts you in a coma so you won’t feel any pain, and the second one stops your heart and then it’s all over, okay? Easy right?”

                The vet got the needle ready and slowly injected Jakita with it. Jakita then felt loopy but he gathered all the strength he had left and lunged at the vet’s throat. The vet screamed and yelled but Jakita held on in till the vet fell to the ground gushing blood from his mouth and neck. Then the vet went into a coma. Jakita lye there too, collapsed on the floor, covered in the vet’s blood. He was in a coma too, but would he wake up…

                He walked for miles and miles till he reached a small shed, “I’ll rest here for tonight.”

                Sleep came easy that night; he was so tired that he couldn’t stay awake even if he wanted too. And dreams came that night, they always came but this one was different~

                Soba was in a black room spinning round and round. Just in front of him Jakita popped up and he was crying and yelping covered in blood. And then a large wolf lunged at him and they both fell to their watery doom. And then he saw his mate Luna calling for him lost in the darkness, she called and called in till it grew too dark and she could not be seen anymore.

                And with that Soba awoke screaming. “What a dream!” he said when he finally calmed down. Soba was panting and slowly stood. He trotted out of the shed and looked around. And thought to himself: Where am I?

                “Soba! Jakita! Where are you?” Luna shouted

                She walked and walked, pushing herself forward against the storm. Then she yelped and fell to the ground, she was having her pups in a blizzard!

                She almost froze to death if Aniu wasn’t there to help her, Aniu shield her from the winds and kept her warm in till Soba came. And then Aniu disappeared with the wind…

                “Luna you should have stayed with the pack.” Soba said through the wind

                “But I missed you. I wanted to be with you.”

                Soba gave a have smile and kissed her. Then he picked her up and put her on his back and told her to hold on. He then forced through the blizzard to the small shed he was resting in. and when they got there Soba lye Luna down on the rug and lie down next to her. Luna asked, “How did you know where to find me?”

                Soba looked out the door and stared at the blizzard as he talked, “I saw the future in one of my dreams.” And told her of his dream.

                After Soba told Luna of his dreams Luna let out a loud yelp and started panting. And within five hours she had five pups…but only one lived. The cold weather was too much for them but one was strong and survived. It was a pure white pup, white as snow, a female with ocean blue eyes that seemed to look into your soul. “Our poor puppies! They died! It’s all my fault!” Luna said as she started to cry

                “No it’s not my dear. It’s no one’s fault. And we still have one left.” Soba said as he whipped away Luna’s tears
