Roxy's paws thump loudly, on the crisp snow. The other team trails behind them. "HIKE!!"

yells the musher, the finish line is near.  Roxy's heart beat matches her paws thumping, 

thump thump    thump thump    thump thump.

She lunges at the finish line and slides across it. Roxy skids to a stop,

as Jenifer runs to greet her. The time man gasps in amazment. "Thats one talented dog!! 34 minutes

flat!!" The crownd claps and cheers wildly. Shay walks over to Roxy " Your a born sled dog! I don't

know how you do it!" Roxy smiled sweetly at Shay, "thanks! That made my day!". In the distance

Raidous was flirting with all the other ladies trying to prove hes faster and very manly.

The musher walked over to Roxy and un-cliped her harness from the sled, " Your a good girl!"

patting her head.

Roxy walks home with Jenifer soon after.  Aniu watches them walk home, she takes a second check

and runs off into the woods. Aniu curls up that night thinking sturnly about Roxy, thinking back. She

remembered a black and white pup.The

next day Jenifer took Roxy for a walk, Aniu watched them and studied them carfully. She finally

remembered the pup that looked identical to Roxy. Shay ran over to Roxy, "Hows your day going?"

she asked. "I'm having a great day, looks like Raidous is very manly today." They both looked at

eachother and laughed. Raidous tried to get their attention but it diden't work. Shade was trotting

around with her new collar, Navy blue with a silver tag. Raidous then walked over to her

"Shade, how are you?" he asked grining. "I'm fine" she replyed trying to show Raidous she has a new

collar. "Roxy!!" I got to go Shay, my owners are calling me.

Raidous walked of over to Shay, "Shay... How beautiful..." Shay put on a worried face, as she

tried to walk away. Raidous blocked her path and came closer to her. Stirke was nearby and growled

at Raidous. "Leave her alone, Raidous!" Raidous and Strike were nose to nose growling at

eachother. Then Raidous walked to all the ladies and bragged about his speed.

Aniu smiled, " I finally found her..." she said to herself.

Another day passed and today was the medicine run, from Nome to Ruby and back to Nome. The

medicine run was because the medicine was running low. Roxy sattled up and was hooked to the

sled, everyone cheered for a safe trip.  She waited for instructions, "Hike!"

yelled the musher and Roxy was off. Aniu fallowed her along her journey keeping her distance.

Roxy saw huge mountains up ahead, and a purple-ish blue sky. "Are you alright team?!"

"were all fine" they replied panting. Snow covered trees blew in the wind.The day passed before their

eyes, the sun set, and they rested for the night. In the morning they ate and were off again, Roxy

smelt wolf, but thought nothing of it."Wooo!" hollered the

musher, Roxy stopped obediantly and waited for a comand. The musher took out his map and

compass, he studied it for a couple of minutes and put it away. "Ok team, we are taking a shortcut,

heading into deadmans land... Gee! (right)" Roxy listened to orders and ran right.

Soon They ened up on a narrow ledge leading downward, Roxy suddenly stopped.

She smelt something fallowing them and carefuly watched her suroundings.

Aniu walked up to the top of the cliff, watching Roxy and the team.

"whats wrong Roxy, lets go?!" Roxy walked down the steep ledge. The ledge became

steeper with every step, soon Roxy was skidding down the icy ledge. Roxy finally got ahold of a rock

and tried to yank herself up, the sled passed her and slide downward. Now she

had the weight of the team and the sled, Roxy griped the rock, but it sliped out of her paws,

A jagged edge cut her paw as she slipped downward. Aniu howled, Roxy woke up when she did so and

the team did too. They were on a frozen lake.

 Roxy crawled over to the musher and licked his face, he woke up and was startled that he

was on think ice, already cracking from the weight. The dogs ran to ground with the sled.

Roxy was tugging the musher to ground but the ice crack beneth their feet. The musher held onto

the ice tring to yank himself up and out of the icey cold water

. The musher became weak, and Roxy yanked with all her might and

got him out and dragged him to land. as soon as he became warm he bandaged

Roxy and the team up. He sat down and looked at the map "were almost at Ruby, 45 more minutes!"

he said shacking from the cold water

Roxy walked the 45 minutes to Ruby and rested for a two days, till the team was better.

Aniu smelt Roxys blood that was left behind, she sniffed it many times

then confirmed that Roxy was a wolfdog, and her daughter. Meanwhile Roxy's paw

healed and was on her way, the musher shouted "stright ahead! (no short cut)"

Roxy ran stright ahead, with no arguments. The next day they only needed 2-3 hours more

to Nome, Roxy was full of energy and ran the whole way. The town was cheering, shouting happily

and clapping. Jenifer ran over to Roxy as she skided across the finish.

Aniu smiled, shes happier this way... Said Aniu looking down on Roxy...

 For one last time Aniu Howled loudly. Stretching across Nome, so all could hear.
