'OK your in the pack Edward, your job is to scout the territory and make sure there are no intruders, got it? I do all the hunting, and Jakita finds the water and when its time to eat the pack will howl for you to come back and eat, kay?'

Edward nodded to the alpha of the pack. then the alpha says 'well what ya' waiting for go do your job.'

Edward dashes away and sniffs around. he is the newest member of the pack. he sniffs around the boarder of the territory and smells nothing new so he trots around over to the river. he laps up the cool, clean, fresh water. he jumps in the water to cool down. he splashs around and smiles to himself.

behind the bushs she was hiding. she was swimming in the water about a half an hour ago and got tired so she took a nap in the bushs. she saw him coming and arose from her sleep as fast as she could. she tryed to run but he was to close to not see her make a break for it. she slowly sneaks away hoping he wont see her.

Edward freezes and sniffs the air. he asks 'hello, anyone there?'

she walks out from the bushs with her tail in between her legs. her ears lie flat against her head. Edward pulled himself out of the water and shook his fur dry. he then asked, 'what are you doing here?'

'um, i was just swimming when i got tired and took a nap, i'm sorry' she said with her head low.

'its ok. whats your name?' Edward asked

'Bella, and you?' she said

'Edward' he said

'nice to meet you.

they both smiled at each other when Edward heard the pack call for him. 'sorry i have to go.'

'its ok' Bella said as she trotted into the woods. Edward ran back to the pack and ate. when dinner was done Edward started to walk away to find Bella again when the alpha asked, 'were ya' goin' Edward?'

'um' Edward thought on how to not talk about Bella to the pack. 'to the river to scout the territory again, is that OK?'

'sure, sure, sure, go ahead.'

'thanks' Edward said as he dashed to the river. he looked around to see if Bella was still there. he started to sniff the bushs when Bella stood up and they froze for a few seconds before Edward said, 'oh, hi Bella i didn't see ya' there.' they both giggled then Edward asked, 'well i just came back from dinner and i wanted to know if you wanted any food, um, i thought you might be hungry so, her ya' go.'

Bella smiled and said, 'thanks Edward.' and she ate the food happily and when she was done she sat up and wagged her tail. she smiled at him and play bowed. Edward bowed back and followed Bella as she ran into the river making a hudge splash. they swam for about two hours and then got out. they shook their fur and dryed off.

they pack heard all the noise and went to go see what it was. when they came to the river they saw Edward and Bella talking to each other by the edge of river. the alpha saw how beautiful Bella was and puffed up his fur to look stronger then he walked over to them and sat in between her and Edward. then the alpha said, 'hello beauitful.'

'hello.' Bella said

Edward let out a low snarl that thankfully no one heard. then the alpha said, 'so whats a pretty think like you doing in a place like this?'

'i just came to swim and hang out with Edward.'

'ah, i see.' the alpha said as he stared at Edward and bared his teeth. Edward walked away into the dark woods. he knew that if the alpha snarles at you and give you 'the stare' it means your out of the pack. he sighed and said to himself, 'i dont need to be in a pack! who needs them anyways.'

Edward lay down in bushs and fell into a deep sleep.

                                               EDWARD'S DREAM

'help, help someone help me please!' someone cryed

'who's there? who are you?' Edward asked

'help please!'

just then Edward saw Bella and blood all over her and he started spinning and falling into the darkness. he started to yell and quikly woke up.

                                                                ***

Edward started panting and stood up. he was paceing and talking to himself, 'i have to find Bella.'

he dashed into the woods to the river and looked in the bushs but Bella wasn't there. he ran to the pack but no one was there also. he howled and perked his ears up, he heard Bella! she's in trouble, there was a hunter looking for skins and he shot Bella. he followed the sent and saw Bella in the hunters truck, the hunter was driving away but Edward jumped in the truck and asked Bella if she was OK. Bella couldn't answer, she wouldn't move. Edward started to nudge her with his noise but she wouldn't wake up. then Edward whispered in Bella's ear, 'i'm so sorry Bella. i'll find a way to save you don't worry i'll get you out of here.'
