Chapter one Friends

Lilly Pad streched as she walked out the caves mouth

"Father come look!" Yelled Lilly Pad,

"All right I'm coming!" Said her father Kensuke

And as they looked they saw the horizen burst into life with a flurry of red and purple pinks and oranges,

"One day Lilly pad this will all be yours, because your my eldest and the next great leader,"  Kensukes smiling pup looked up at him with glittering eyes.

"Really mine? What about my brothers Rowkeye and wolfen..." Lilly pad asked then Kensuke chuckled,  

"They'll join the pack," He smiled at his daughter as she went off to play,

"She's so much like you," Said Dog rose, Kensukes mate they watched as thier daughter went off to the river bank,  as she approached the rippling stream lilly Pad rolled down the slope and giggled as she landed, she was so happy,  but she turned as a low growling sound  came from the river reeds, Lilly pad approached pading the ground softly to hardly make a noise then...

"Grrrr...Roar!" Shouted a wolf pup as it Lunged from the reeds it pounced on Lilly Pad but she flipped him and pinnned him to the ground, the wolf pup looked rarther suprised.

"Let me up then..." He Mumbled Lilly Pad let him up, 

"Hay arn't you niearmi's pup? Nelloka is it? And don't you have a little sister called Dkota?" Nelloka frowned then snapped back, 

"What  is this twenty questions or something!" He snapped  then grinned "well ain't you the future queen, you know Kensukes pup," Lilly pad nodded and followed him asthey walked they talked together, for half an hour then.

"So being a queen's good then?"  Lilly Pad nodded back,

"Well my dads very over protective but its cool I guess..." Then she asked "Whats it like living with Niearmi as a mum?" Then Nelloka looked insulted "She's just like any other mum thanks!" He Snapped.

"Oh, It's just she-" Lilly Pad was inturupted

"Your just like every one else! They think she's awful! Well she's not! She didn't mean to do what she did to your grand mother! She didn't mean to kill her! Or hurt your mother! So thier!" And He stormed off, with tears in his eyes, then Lilly Pad went home.

"So how was your day sweetie?" Dog rose asked

"Terrible mum... I think I hurt some one... And I didn't mean too!" Then Lilly Pad began to cry,

"Tell me what you did there there," Dog rose said hugging her sobbing pup, as Lilly Pad explained her mum said

"Darling it's not your fault, Nelloka he feels bad for yelling at you, And he can't help being angery his mother made him that way, well his mothers choices made him sensetive," Dog rose smiled at her pup and she smiled back,

"Come now Time for dinner."  Dog rose said and Lilly Pad followed her mother into the den.

The next day Lilly Pad went down to the river again, and Saw Nelloka, and walked up to him, "I'm sorry for yesterday, Friends?" She asked he nodded and they began to play.

"Pinned ya!" Lilly Pad giggled Nelloka blushed and got up, they play fighted, played tig, and then looked up at the sky and cloud watched.

"Hay lok that one looks like a fish, cool that one looks like a bunny." She pionted them out, Nelloka smiled and then looked at her, 

"Hay do ya want to do some thing cool," Lilly Pad listened "theirs an old abandonded human campsite, isn't that cool? So do you want to check it out?" Lilly pad nodded and they set off, as they entered the campsite they saw old tents torn and broken crates full of rotton supplies long forgotten and burnt out fires, some of the logs where still thier! 

"This place is kinda creepy but so cool!" Nelloka grinned, "Yearh, it's cool right? So lets go and check it out," They played with the abandoned clothes and things they found til...

"Hay Lilly Pad look at this massive fur coat," Nelloka Said trying to yank it out, "Er, Nelloka thats not a fur coat, it's a it's a- bear" Then Nelloka butted in and said "Yearh its heavy enough to be a bear," 

Then suddenly it rose up, Nelloka stopped yanking it out, and ran with Lilly Pad the bear was gaining on  them, the ran faster and faster, but lilly pad tripped, Nelloka jumped in front of her and tried to howl, "How- agh, cough spluter..!" Nelloka looked embarressed, and blushed, the bear was about to get them when "Arghhh! Stay away from my baby!" Growled Dog roseas she leaped in front of them barring her teeth and showing her claws, surprisingly the bear backed off, when the rest of the pack came behind her,  it couldn't take down 20 wolfs, when they got home Kensuke talked with his Daughter.

"What in heavens name where you doing? You frigtend me half to death, and hanging around that Nelloka, he's bad news you know what his mother did to your mothers mother, you could have been killed, by bears ingured by that monster Niearmi calls a son, and that campsite's strickly off limits you know that! I can't belive one of my own would do what you just did!" Lilly Pad slunk into the den and sobbed, her father looked up into the sky, then The old leader Browlow came beside him, Brow low was the old leader and Dog roses father.

"Kensuke, don't be so hard on her you and my daughter made worse mistakes, your putting so much responsibility on her, try to understand, please..." Browlow was wise, his wisdom eceeded his years, Kensuke sighed he knew Browlow was right...   

That next moring Lilly Pad stayed at home with her brothers "Sister?" Asked Wolfen, "Whys daddy always thinking he never plays with us..." Wolfen Asked with puppy dog eyes, "He loves us really, but he's the leader of the pack, he has other things besides us to look after," Lilly pad explained while she licked his head tuft clean, "Yearh, hay sister? Why Can't you play with Nelloka any more?" Rowkeye asked, "Uh, well... beacause father won't let me." She replied, "Yes but WHY?" He urged, "You'll know when your older," Lilly Pad replied again getting rarther anoyed.

"My turn," Said Rowkeye Sitting inbetween his sisters paws, she licked his head tuft clean,  then watched her younger brothers play. That same night Lilly Pad had a dream...

(In dream) She was in a massive field she saw her grand mother walk up to her, "Hello granddaughter." She smiled "you look so much like your mother and father, come with me I want to show you round," But the dream stopped when suddenly, "Sister sister can I sleep next to you? I had the same nightmare again..."  She smiled and let her brother sleep next to her.
