Thunder stood up and walked down the gang blank of his brother, Balto's, beached boat. Balto looked at his brother in confusion, "Where ya' going Thunder?"

"I'm going to find Sasha, I need to tell her something." Thunder said as he trotted down onto the freezing, powdery snow.

"But Thunder she's at her owners aunts house for this month. While her owner is at a sleep away camp." Balto said while jumping off the boat to ketch up with his brother.

"That doesn't madder." Thunder repliyed

"She's more than five hundred thousand miles away by now." Balto added

"That's OK, If you love someone their never too far away." Thunder stated as he broke into a dead run, headding south east to Montana.

"Wait!" Balto said

Thunder turned around and looked at his brother. Balto bravely said, "I'll go with you, it's too dangurous alone."

Thunder smiled and nodded to him. they headded for Jenna's house to tell her they would be gone for a while. after they told her they ran to the ocean. then they stopped and looked at its vast beauty. Balto questioned, "How are we going to cross?"

Thunder looked around, then his ears perked up when he saw a cargo boat at Nome's dock. Thunder rushed to the boat with Balto following right beside him.

they slowly walked on the boat so no one would see them. they hid in some cargo boxes intill the ship was to leave to the next stop, they hoped it would be close to where Sasha was.

they heard the boat horn and then the boat started on its way out to sea. Thunder jumped out of the box he was in and looked around. he sniffed the air and looked at Balto, "Is there any food in this boat? I'm starving."

Balto smiled and led Thunder into the kitchen of the boat. they saw a cheif cooking some chicken and putting it on the table. the cheif then turned and went back to his cooking. Thunder and Balto mouths started to water when they saw the chicken on the table. finaly Thunder couldn't wait any longer, he jumped on the table and grabbed the hole chicken before the cheif saw him. they ran into the cargo room and ate the chicken happily.

"YUMMY! I love chicken." Thunder said as he grabbed another chunk of meat and wolfed it down.

Balto just shook his head and smiled because his mouth was full with food.

when they were done with the chicken they went back into the cargo boxes to sleep.

"Hey boss, ya' want these cargo boxes unloaded?" a boat worker asked

"Yeah Joe, just set them down on the dock." the captin said

"You got it." Joe said

Joe took the boxes (with Thunder and Balto in them) and headed down the gang blank with both of them. Joe started to sweat and he dropped the boxes. Thunder and Balto awoke and fell out of the cargo boxes. Joe grabbed them by the scruff of their neck and yelled to the captin, "Hey look, heres the vermin that stole our dinner!"

the men walked off the boat and stared at Thunder and Balto with faces filled with anger. at of complet fear Thunder broke out of the man's arms and bit him on the leg. the man yowled in pain and fell to the ground dropping Balto. Balto and Thunder dashed away from them as fast as they could. then men started yelling at them to never come back and started to throw rocks at them. usally they missed but once one hit Balto and he yelped in pain. Thunder saw his brother on the ground and the men laughing as they walked away. he helped Balto up and asked him, "You OK Balto?"

Balto nodded and said,"I'm fine, but where are we?"

they looked around but all they saw was snow, snow, oh and wait, more snow. Thunder let out a mighty howl and perked his ears up. Balto asked, "What are you doing?"

"Shhhhhhhhhhhh." Thunder replyed

Balto just sat next to his brother. Thunder then jumped up and howled again. Thunder bolted after whatever he heard, and howled as he ran. Balto followed unsure of what was going on. Balto thought to himself: Maybe it's just a wolf thing.

they ran and ran till the reached a pure white wolf. Thunder thanked her for helping them find out where to go. they knew where to go from here. the wolf nodded and smiled then she froze staring at Balto. then she unsurly asked, "Balto? Is that really you?"

Balto nodded and ran up to her. they nuzzled each other and the wolf named Aniu said, "I haven't seen you in so long my son, I have missed you so much."

"I have missed you too mom." Balto said as sat next to Anui.

"And I have missed you too Thunder." Anui said with a smile

Thunder smiled and said, "I miss you too mom"

Anui smiled and licked her sons. then she howled and the Northern Lights flashed out behind her. she then said, "This will show you the way my sons."

"thank you mom." Balto and Thunder said

Anui said goodbye to them and within seconds she disapeared

they then followed the Northern Light trail, it flashed beautifuly on all the snow hills and made it glow with light.

they followed it untill it ended. they looked at the Northern Lights and saw it was gone. Balto said, "Where now Thunder?"

Thunder sniffed the ground and anounced, "This way, hurry were almost there."

they dashed through the woods, dodging trees and hurdling bushes. Thunder and Balto stopped once they came across a little farm on the outskerts of town. Thunder then whispered to himself: I'm here Sasha

they ran in through the back door once they knew the people that lived here weren't there. Thunder saw Sasha curled up in a doggy bed next to the fire place. Thunder howled and Sasha awoke from her sleep. she looked up and saw them standing in the living room, dirty and muddy from their long journey. she jumped out of her doggy bed and ran over to them. Sasha then nuzzled Thunder and licked him. she then froze and started to blush. Thunder blushed too, then he licked her back. they smiled at each other. she thanked Balto for coming and hugged him. Sasha then stared and them and said, "How did you two get here?"

Balto and Thunder said, "Long story." and they laughed

"Well I have good news. My owners aunt wanted to know what breed I was so she took me to the vet to get some ID tests and they found out I am half wolf! just like you, only half. Isn't that great?" Sasha exclaimed

"It doesn't madder if your a wolf or a dog Sasha I will always love you." Thunder said

they nuzzled and then Thunder asked her, "Sasha I was wondering If you wanted to be my mate?"

Sasha smiled and said, "Of course I'll be your mate, I could never think of being anyone elses."

they nuzzled and they headed back to Nome, Sasha knew her owner was on her way back to Nome by now so it was OK if she met her there.

Thunder and Balto told Sasha about their trip here. And right in front of them the Northen Lights appered, and there Anui stood. then Thunder, Sasha, Balto and Anui all howled together, as one.
