What happened to Niju?
For Huskywolf's contest. What I think happened to Niju.
After running off, Niju allowed his rage to fester. By the time Nava found him, Niju was in such a state of anger; the youthful wolf killed his elderly packmate. Alone, Niju turned to stealing food from neighboring packs. He was a nuisance. Eventually, the wolves decided to ambush the bandit and punished him fiercely for his misdeeds. Now permanently disabled and closely watched, Niju was unable to hunt on his own or steal. He was also miserably lonely. He began to regret savagely murdering Nava. For months, Niju wandered the wilderness, desperate for food. He bearly survived on carrion and grasses for a year. But by next winter, Niju had not built up enough fat to survive the harsh, unforgiving ice storms. He died emaciated and alone in the snow.
Done with pencil, sharpie and some MS Paint.
