Honesty does not equal politeness. I know that contradicts what you mentioned about my art being up and so long as it's up, everyone has their own rights to comment on it. Could I have PMed you about your comment? Sure. I didn't see it right away however, until everyone else began to comment. I'll own up to that. I'm sorry I never did that, nor would it have honestly come to mind as there have been many conflicts on art before like this.

I don't want to argue with anyone. I hope I don't come across as unfair. I just feel like defending myself and speaking as well so it doesn't look like people are speaking for me, or acting as white knights. I know everyone is entitled to say as they want. I also appreciate that you realize what you said was maybe just a little hurtful, and not very necessary. I'm sorry in return that my style doesn't please you. I hope we can all put this behind us now, and move on. I will say it again, please no more comments unless it is peaceful or finishing your thoughts in a positive manner.
Thank you.

I was only being honest in my opinion; I was not intending to be rude. But to be perfectly honest, all of this could have been avoided if people weren't so quick to attack when comments like these are made. If Kcald had just PMed me about my comment, I would have removed it.

Lastly, I will say that not everything posted on here, or even anywhere, has to be sugar coated. Artists put their work out there, and everyone is free to post what they want as long as what they're doing isn't against the rules.

Edit: I remove my comment.

However. I will also add that the both of you are quick to agree with one another, so it can get confusing at times at when you choose to speak individually or when not. Just consider that. And now I am leaving this, I suggest everyone do the same.

"White knighting" please tell me how anyone is acting as a white knight? As you are capable of speaking for yourself, so is everyone else who commented- Mighty included. I don't mind any comments on my artwork, whether it's critic or positive or anything in between. This is starting to get out of hand and I don't want to fight or start any arguments. All I want to say is that Mighty's remark about the style I use for eyes was an unnecessary opinion. I know it's not anatomically correct, but it is something new and I like to experiment with new styles. It just so happens this is what I like doing for now. To hear it looks "bug like" is a blow to my pride nonetheless, but I will move on. I suggest everyone do the same. I don't want drama, I didn't have white knights come. These are just comments people chose to make. Let's drop it.

I simply pointed out that I didn't understand what it was all about. If you are referring to more than just Mightybalto's response, then you'd better check the attitude. The last I recall, there is no rule against expressing a question or a little confusion. I personally make no disparaging remarks about this person's works. I simply said I didn't understand the eye thing. It's a perfectly legitimate statement. I cannot and will not speak for Mighty...she's fully capable of speaking on her own behalf. However, I had no ill intent, so none of this vitriol and white knighting better be about me.

Looks like someone needs to read the rules. There is nothing wrong with having a unique style - in fact, isn't that encouraged? What is wrong is telling someone that their style is incorrect because you don't agree with it. There are plenty of people who don't like specific styles, which is fine, but you don't see people in museums critiquing the Mona Lisa so harshly just because they don't like or agree with the style. This is a fansite, and it wouldn't run if there was no fanwork, so why do you need to be so harsh on someone who is just trying to contribute?

Thank you guys! I don't really mind if you like my style or not. I think that's the whole point of it anyways, to make what you like and not worry. I understand it not being likable but that's fine. Thank you regardless though, I appreciate it!! :')

You don't have to like it, but what's the point in commenting that? It's only gonna make the artist feel bad if it isn't actual criticism. I'm with Eska.. What you said was a little harsh and unnecessary.

Not everyone is going to like the same thing. Just because someone doesn't like it, that doesn't make it a "bad style". It just isn't my cup of tea.
