MushyBrains- I always find it ridiculous when the greatly designed sparkles are targeted. It's just stupid, seeing as the ones making fun of the said character couldn't make a better one if they were blind and missing quite a few fingers. :I Again, I really don't see what the big problem is with sparkledogs (I myself have quite a few) and like you stated, if someone can pull it off, awesome! I just hate the horrible sparkles/emo wolves. And just the ignorance the owners carry in general. The "Oh mai character is pretty sparkul but it has mostly natural colurhs.... TIEM TO BASH SPARKUL DAWGS!" It's just like "really?" There should be a limit on how "sparkle-licious" you can make a character. Like, if there is a character with hot pink and neon blue fur with rainbows, sprinkles and stars and stitches all over, it should get the boot. But if there's a character like Perroloco it should be fine and regarded as being awesome. (X'D I'm not gonna start anything. I'm not a flame baiter and love to see everyone's opinions. I hope you don't mind me replying though. :3 )

I agree, people are just getting to ornate with their character. It could be them trying to be creative, since they are more then likely to be more young.
I will be honest and enjoy making my character designs simple, yet different. And it can be hard to do so. It isn't hard if your using absurd colors such as hot pink and lime green. Though I can't understand why.

Banishing sparkles altogether will cause an uproar and keep them will only aggravate other members further. Either way, we won't come to an agreement

Sadly, I hadn't expected to see such ridiculous designs once Steet had allowed the "Sparkledog rule", though I was pretty stupid not to, seeing as this is a site for all ages, though I tend to see a lot of the younger audience on.

So what I'm saying is, wrapping this all up, there /can/ be decent characters for either scene or sparkle dogs. Unfortunately, there are just people on here who abuse that and wonder why they get judged, some harshly.

Also, I happen to be a true Balto fan. I appreciate the film and all just as I had as a young girl. I don't think the rule should be banned altogether, but there should definately be a limit or rule on putting some kind of effort on a character/character's design.

Again, this is just my own thoughts and feelings. Don't start anything; I don't want any trouble. But thanks if you did happen to take the time to read all that. xD

When I was a few years younger, I'll be honest; I liked making my characterss bit "vivid" with their colors and unrealistic accessories and what not, but I also grew up a bit overtime and just realized how silly it seemed. I still like some "sparkles" on here, granted they have a nice and orderly color scheme and design. All these other characters that just look like a pack of skittles crapped on them and were most likely made in a grand whopping ten minutes at the most have GOT to go. Age doesn't really matter when it comes to making a character as long as you can pull it off, but honestly, some of the people on here... xD

And alongside this, I think some can get a bit pushy up to a point.
Recently, my older fursona, Perroloco was judged upon someone, and I'd rather not say names and play this off like a child. Honestly, I suppose I /could/ see their point. I try not to get defensive or use that god forsaken excuse of "don't like, don't look" because it honestly gets you nowhere.
But to get to my point, I honestly don't even believe he is /that/ badly designed of a character...?
If anything, they were insulting my friend on here, who'd designed him in the first place. But honestly, it still hurt me a bit, too, and frankly, I usually try not to give a hoot what anyone says on the Internet anymore. So in a way, I'm with Woopy on this, but just felt the need to state my opinion as well.
