Mommy...don't leave...
"mummy! what is this place?" the brown pup questioned.
The white female said nothing but nudged him into the rickety old boat.
The pup squeaked in delight. "It's so big!" he marveled.
The female nosed around finding an old gray blanket. she picked up her pup and dropped him into it. Her pup laughed, the blanket enveloping him. She turned and walked away from him. His head poked out of the blanket quickly.
"Mum?! mummy?"
She said nothing, but clenched her jaw and closed her eyes tightly.
"mum! no! don't leave me here!"
She quickened her pace, walking out of the boat, ignoring his cries.
" I don't regret this..I don't regret this..." the female muttered coldly. She continued her hurried pace, disappearing into the forest, leaving her tiny pup to fend for himself.
