I think with some practice and real life references to study from (such as photos), you have the potential to be a great artist!

I think one of the areas you should focus on is the muzzle area (at least with Balto). Compared to his face, the muzzle is much too large for his head. At least down by the nose. That area is about the same size as his head.

As for Steele, I think you portrayed him quite well. The only thing that sticks out to me is his ear. It seems a bit too large.
