Rebel --> I suppose I was rather abrupt with my comment to Brown Wolf, and for that I apologize. I really need to work on that habit of saying the first thing that comes to mind and not thinking it through.

However, you're way off when you say that nobody is born evil (I'd say that no dog is, but given that dogs don't tend to be evil at any age whereas Steele certainly was in the movie, that's a whole different subject). True, babies do not plot world domination or mass homicide as far as we know. But everyone has, from birth, inclinations to do the wrong thing. Some people have/act on them less than others, but no form of upbringing will stop it altogether. Obstruct it, certainly. But we all have that drive.

DT, stop taking this so darn seriously. No need to bring Hitler into this, it's JUST a picture. You can't assume you know EVERYTHING there is to know about Steele from just a movie. Fan creativity is a wonderful thing, and your past and the environment you were raised in does judge an awful lot of your personality. No one's born evil.

As to Steele in general, we don't know anything about him other than what we see in the first Balto movie. We don't know who is parents were, what made him a 'great' sled dog or why he hated Balto. That's where fan imagery and fan fiction comes in.

Not knowing that much or anything about a character, I think, sparks something in our minds and allows us, enables us, to create that character's past and what leads them to become what they are in the movie.

So, maybe, just maybe, in our minds when some of us think of Steele's past, perhaps we see a good, charsmatic pup who had something terrible happen to him, involving a wolf, he sees how they act or has been hurt by it, so therefore, in Steele's mind, he hates them. Like I said, we won't know, but that's the point of creativity.

Cactus --> True, I wasn't saying that Steele was always a jerk - although it's entirely possible that he was. It is possible that he was nice once, but a good past does not negate evil deeds, certainly not as wicked as his.

Starfire --> Maybe, but then would he be Steele? I mean really.

I think Jenna would have had acrush on Steele and become best friend if fame hasn't gone to his head
