"This was her place. She sat back to the sunset of the place she called "home" with the rest of her family. Her belly was swelling, and she was finally beginning to show. She squinted against the breeze, in the final decision that this would be her place to birth."
I got a promising e-mail from the California Wolf Center in Julian, California. They pretty much, in a nutshell, said "let us ask you these questions and it's a-go."
I'm so happy! I may not have gotten all of the wolf associations I was hoping for, but this one is plenty enough to make my head swell a little. I checked my e-mail last night and began to bounce off the wall in excitement. I couldn't even sleep (that and a caffiene high doesn't help). I was also talking to my older sister, Ashley, sharing the good news as I doodled and finished this piece.
I'm thrilled!!! I'm waiting for the specifics (I asked a few clarification questions myself), and so far all seems well!

Random canid. Not too serious of a piece. Created for the California Wolf Center and is not to be used otherwise.

EDIT: Of course, the scanner would "kill" the coloring. I colored a little too lightly, so I will (more than likely) tone with it with my pencils and re-submit the edits later. Also, those yellow highlights came out brighter than I intended to - so I'll have to change that, as well. X\
