"The wolf ventured in the forest and made his way past trees and rocks. He never did look back, although he was very loyal to his pack, his Alpha was always an absolute jerk to him. Cyrus secretly all his life wanted to go off on his own; to be a loner. Now he had the chance. Suddenly some bushes next to him began to rustle and Cyrus perked his ears at the sound of it. He lifted his hackles and let his tongue snake across his fangs.
A brown wolf walked out of the bushes and smiled at Cyrus. His tail was pitch black and his eyes were blood red. Cyrus had noticed his eyes like that all his life, but he could never explain the source of the color of his iris. Marrow laughed gently at Cyrus and circled around him.
"You really caused a problem back there, you know?" Marrow growled, his lips in a snarl.
Cyrus snickered at the wolf's tone. Marrow had always hated Cyrus and Cyrus had always hated Marrow. The wolf found his comments quite pathetic and he would just simply ignore him. Marrow classified himself as a Beta; since the pack never had one. Although the Alpha didn't know it, Marrow would throw out orders just to make others understand that he was the ruler, but Cyrus saw otherwise.
"You're my problem, Marrow." Cyrus retorted.
The brown wolf growled louder and raised his tail. "Have you had the bloodlust on you?" Marrow hissed; his eyes dancing.
"Yes, Marrow,"
"You fool," he cried. "A little yearn for more blood is not the bloodlust! You get engulped in its power and you surrender to it..."
Marrow's eyes grew more red and Cyrus began to walk again; ignoring him."
