Actually this is pure experimental. The shading, if you notice (even though it was eaten away when I applied the lighting) is different on either character. Dusty's is softer than Kodi's and has more definition, but Kodi's is more detailed. So which is better to you?

By the way, Kodi looks like a clown, doesn't he?

The shading is great for both of them. Wow, it's not often that you see a photo-realistic style on here. Great job! This should be the next fanart of the week.

A marvelous piece (as always ;) ) You're shading is coming along fine. I like how much detail you put into Kodi's fur and the shading on Dusty suites her just fine.

While I agree with Dragon Tamer, I'm kind of drawn to Dusty, and how you did her. I'm going to say I like both, but I prefer how you did Dusty; softer, yet with more definition.

I like both of them. Each style kind of enhances the character, respectively. I mean Kodi was, for the most part, very focused on getting things right, so the attention to detail suits him. Dusty, on the other hand, was more of a soft character, so the softer shading fits her well. Makes her look more feminine, too, which boosts the feel of the image itself.
