October 1945: The Boys Come Home
I decided to go the bittersweet route for the conclusion to Rose and Jim's story; he makes it home, but got hit with shrapnel to the face overseas and is subsequently blinded. Jim has to get used to his new way of living, and relearn how to read and accomplish everyday tasks with the help of his wife, while also figuring out how to be a good father to Daniel.
I suppose you can consider this my Swansong or farewell to Balto Source, as I don't really have any other plans for stories and art on here. It's been a good eleven years, but my interests have changed and I've got my own stories I want to tell now. :) To the longtime fans, thanks for sticking around all these years! I appreciated every comment and conversation! <3
