Good Gracious, it's a Dating Site for Canines!
Not. Every. Character. Needs. A. Mate. Especially characters that aren't yours! Let the character's owner handle the character's own love life. Don't ask if you can make them a mate--if the creator wants you to, HE/SHE will ask YOU, not the other way around.
And ALL the comments made about it here are by the SAME USER, though I blurred out his/her name. You DEFINITELY don't need to go asking MULTIPLE people at the SAME TIME if you can make their character a mate, which you're probably creating in less than 5 minutes. All THAT dose is spread more pointless, underdeveloped characters across the site that really don't need to be there. :l And this user is NOT the only one who I've seen doing this, either.
Don't get me wrong, guys, I like shipping and romance just as much as the next person, but you don't need to create a mate for a character JUST to create a mate, or worse, just as an excuse to pump out more designs.
Anywho. Chose real!Balto instead of cartoon!Balto for this because, at least to my knowledge, real!Balto DIDN'T have a mate. XD

Kelsey-- Aww, can you? Darn! D: Ah, well, I at least tried to blur it
out efficiently. And anyways, she's not the only member who's done
this, so... -shrug- Alpha-- -nods- I don't mind if the character has a mate as long as their interactions and developments are well done and thought out. What I don't like is people making mates solely for the sake of making mates. (And people begging to do so, and then either never following through or if they do actually do it, the character is often a lazy and/or severely underdeveloped one, in some cases no more than a collage of markings and colors.) |

yeah, well I have mates for a lot of my OC's, but it's part of my fan
fiction story, but when people say, I wanna make him/her a mate,
(several of my characters don't have one, people offer to do it, but
never do, that's what annoys me the most) personally I don't care if
the characters are matched up but when people continuously ask, it
gets kind of weird. |

no freak.. I do it with purpose and I will create a quality characters
