it's beautiful, but so sad, I do agree with jersey here not all dogs get over weight in there old age, I know a dog that is so over weight it's twice the size of the breed. I kind of get why Balto was a bit more heavy in his old age.

No need to beg I'm always open for comissions. I'm probably going to recreate some more Balto fan art for fun :)

Thank you Jersey I understand where you are coming from :) My dog drawings tend to be inspired by the dogs in my life so you can always see something hidden in them if you know me personally :)

It's an interesting hypothesis. Believe me, no criticism of your work is intended here. It's fantastic, and the impetus behind it is touching. I just know that the real Balto passed on in relatively good physical shape, barring age-related deterioration. Not all dogs get overweight as they age and slow down. Just a suggestion...

...really, it's wonderful beyond that.

I've already answered this question on Deviantart but I'll repost it here :3

Since my 15 year old dog has only gained weight in her old age even though she's supposed to be on a diet I think most dogs do they eat the same but move less. I don't think the people of Nome would let him starve to death, he was the reason most of the kids survived so they would bring him food.

Who knocks at the garden gate?
I think that was the intention, Moss. He's transparent in the other version, toolol

But yes I agree, it's really an awesome piece of art and I love the background too.:P

This is pretty amazing, and there's tons of emotion in this. My one question would be why is Balto so overweight?

I made him transparent in the first picture and wanted to keep it similar. It's supposed to be him fading out of peoples memories but I also wanted to make him look older. Also thank you for your comment.

I will always love your art. Your style is so cute!

The only thing I see wrong, is it seems you made Balto transparent. you can see some of the water through him xD

Other then that, wonderful job!
