Unafamily
My Magnum Opus. A solid year of work. The entirety of the Unalaq pack as of last year. This will also explain why the anatomy is also /sooo/ last year.
I have spent roughly an hour a week on this piece. So literally an entire year.
I PUT MY HEART AND SOUL, BLOOD SWEAT TEARS AND GINGER BEER INTO THIS
I know they're not grouped together as you might expect but they're grouped and positioned by rank. I also apologise if I got any markings wrong! D: I had to make do with old refs for most of the characters. So. These pack members are as follows. From left to right:
Shtiya- The allies that help the Unalaq protect it's territory. Nikki is a shape-shifter and therefore is an essential ally to the pack in times of need. Although she is not in the pack she is great friends with the majority of the members. She was friends with Kaya as an adolescent and was introduced to the pack that way. Nikki loves to daydream and wander, letting her paws take her wherever they care to fall.
Lynn- The daughter of Kat and Techno, she is still just a pup really. She'll develop into a more important rank as she grows and learns new skills.
Breeze- Another daughter of Kat and Techno, she is shy and timid. However this does not stop her from joining in the sibling fun just like everyone else.
Kaya- The daughter of Jordan and Koko. She is slightly highly strung and will throw a fit if things don't go her way. However, she is slightly older than Breeze and Lynn, and takes pride in being stronger than them. She frequently gets into fights.
Riot- This strong member of the pack is a recent recruit and mate to Nikki. The alphas saw the strength he possessed and offered him a place in the pack. Although he is yet to receive an official rank yet he excels in hunting.
Jordan the shepherd- Another recent member, his rank is omega. This laid-back individual is intelligent and has a great talent for storytelling. He often regales the pack with tales that he had heard throughout his childhood.
Free- Her official rank is that of a pup-sitter. However, she is also fun loving and really just a big pup herself. She acts just like her name and loves to run and jump about like a youngling.
Jordan- The mate to Koko, she is a kind and patient member of the pack. Having adopted lots of pups during her lifetime, she never turns a blind eye to anybody in distress, enemy or not.
Rio- The beta female of the Unalaq, she is the mate to Yukon. She is loving and sympathetic, although she is never afraid to get her paws dirty when somebody needs to save the day.
Yukon- The beta male of the Unalaq, he is the mate to Rio. He is loyal and gallant, and loves nothing more than a good adventure. Whenever trouble arises you know you can depend on this wolf with your life.
Koko- The alpha male of the Unalaq, he is mate to Jordan. He is fairly laid back, although sometimes can take things too seriously. He is never afraid to lend a paw, and has a knack to sorting out pack problems with a nice diplomatic solution instead of resorting to tooth and claw.
Arte- The alpha female of the Unalaq. She was recently promoted, and is respected by all of the pack members. Arte is dependable and has on a number of occasions risked literally everything to save a friend.
Kat- The mate to Techno, she is an experienced hunter and a guard. She has an official rank of 'Pup-sitter/guard/random.' She is indeed all of those things. In addition she has an upbeat attitude and adventure is never following too far behind her.
Destiny- A hunter/pup-sitter. She is best friends with Kat and they both love to prank other members of the pack, especially Yukon. However, when push comes to shove her claws are always ready for action.
Chala- She is a pup at heart, and she has a wild side. She loves to prank along with Kat and Destiny. But Chala is also a fiercely loyal member of the pack and considers it her duty to protect it in any way she can.
Clara- A pup-sitter, Clara has a special way with other pack members. She has a broad knowledge of healing and edible plants and will occasionally utilise these when in desperate need. She is also very laid back and kind.
Emi- The adopted daughter of Arte. Emi is a loyal member of the pack, and is excellent at patrolling. She has a good sense of direction and can navigate using landmarks very well. The aplhas will occasionally send her out to scout the territory boundaries.
Ataneq- The son of Jordan and Koko. He is an extremely laid-back member of the pack. He can keep his cool under immense pressure and is brilliant at diffusing tension and calming down situations.
Techno- The mate of Kat. He acts as a guard for the pack, and is without a doubt always ready to leap into the thick of battle in order to protect his family. He is also patient and likes entertaining the pups with theatrics in his spare time.
Mako- The son of Kat and Techno. Mako is one of the youngest members of the pack, and enjoys running rife around the territory. He gives Free, Clara and Destiny a run for their money whenever they are in charge.
Nunataq- The allies of the Unalaq and the Old Rock pack. Koko hailed from this pack, and was separated from them a long while back. He was rescued by Jordan in the snow and the wolves that had once played together as mere pups formed a strong bond with each other. They decided to branch out from their home packs to create a new one. The Nunataq remained on excellent terms with Koko and Jordan, and will not hesitate to offer up their hunting when the Unalaq's is scarce. The Nunataq are rather fond of roaming and will never stay in one place for a long period of time. Therefore, they have many tales that they have gathered from far and wide. The stories of their adventures are famous amongst loners and on the full moon they will all gather. Moon Meets attract many a stray and lonesome wolf, so for a single night each lunar cycle they will all form a truce with each other and become friends.
Faiolan- The alpha male of the Nunataq. He has no mate, and prefers to live the bachelor's lifestyle. However he is very serious and has an excellent sense of direction. Faiolan is also chivalrous and courageous; He will never hesitate to chase adventure.
Atlas- The joker of the pack. The beta of the pack is Tempo, however Atlas sometimes takes on the role himself (much to Tempo's amusement) and is much more involved in decision making than the rest of the pack. Faiolan trusts him entirely.
Igloo- The odd one in a pack of wolves, Igloo is a silver husky and was abandoned in the Nunataq territory by a musher passing through. She was quite runty as a pup but with good care by the Nunataq wolves she became feisty and strong.
Other wolves in the Nunataq include- Tempo, Red, Tangy, Leon, Sparta, Splash, Derby, Keynine, Nick, Mateo and Papaya.
Other Wolves in the Unalaq that I did not get permission/refs/time/space to draw in-
Blazestar- The pack mentor and teacher. Blaze is patient and very wise. She knows almost everything there is to know about survival and hunting. In fact the aplhas and betas still learn new tips from her even now!
Reegan- A small wolf that strayed to the territory by accident. He was taken in by the alphas and he remains there as a good and loyal member. Reegan is quite comedic and likes to make others laugh.
Sandi- The sister of Kat. She is small but feisty and loves to get into scraps. One of her favourite pastimes is to wind up the pup-sitters. However this is all in good spirit and is loved by everyone regardless.
Denali- He is the brother of Yukon, a hunter, and is very imaginative. He is the practical joker of the pack, and loves to entertain. Occasionally he takes things too far but a nip from Yukon soon sets him straight again.
Well I hope you guys like and appreciate because I might just die if this was hated D':
Anywho- I should probably eat something now ^-^ Have fun you guys and remember- Don't despair! Don't be disheartened! Your Unafamily is there for you! < 33333333
