Spring

'So there's this girl I like dude..'
'Oh really Schweppes? What kind of girl?'
'Well she's beautiful... and sweet and nice.. but she's way out of my league..' Schweppes sighed and kept trudging through the slush. Shark yelped and caught him by his tail.
'Now really Schweppes, I'm sure any girl in this town would be more than happy to.. to um.. I don't know.. give you a second glance?' He stuttered. Schweppes looked doubtful.
'There's only one slight problem..'
'What's that?'
'She's kind of.. a wolf.' He mumbled.
Shark paused, thinking for a second. Then he leapt forward until he had caught up with the little shiba.
'You know it doesn't matter what size you are, or what you look like on the outside. If you love what's on the inside then you're perfect for each other. And if she was worthy of your affection then she would see past that too. Have you even said anything to this wolf?'
Schweppes shook his head, no.
'Well then! You don't know how things will turn out! You have to have a little faith in yourself. I suggest you ask her. In the spring when it's warmer. Go pick her a flower or something. Girls love flowers.' Shark said. Schweppes perked up.
'Really? You think I should do that? You think it will work?'
'I'm pretty darned sure. If you truly are meant for each other, she'll like you no matter what your size or colour or even that ridiculous tail of yours.'
'Wow, thanks Shark.' Schweppes grinned. 'That really puts it into perspective. In fact, will you come with me to the waterfall? I want to go and see if there are any flowers blooming. Snowdrops should be out right about now.'
Shark nodded. 'Sure thing.'
They trotted off together in the direction of the meadow and the cave behind the waterfall that was so cool in the summer months. All around them, drips of snow were tumbling down onto the floor. The ice on the ground had turned to mere remnants. Puddles of ice cool water were forming in ditches and blades of grass were starting to prick through the layer of water. Spring was on it's way bringing with it new life and love.

'By the way..' Shark smiled. 'Your tail is still in the way.'

I really wanted to draw something with these two because they deserve so much more luff than they currently get <33 Plus it's getting warmer and sunnier every day. For the less clued up, Schweppes is talking about Free ;D
