She was also kicked out of her pack, but it was because she believed to be pregnant. And they couldn't have that, only the Alpha was allowed to have pups...
So, a few months later, as her pups grew in her belly, she was attacked by an offending pack. Her pups died in her belly.
She was now pack-less, home-less, food-less and pup-less.
But when she saw Sinbad, walking through the starry night sky, he gave her the courage to not give up and to try and keep herself alive.
They met and they helped each other to survive. Awww.
