Star animation

Star animation

This animation came out better than I thought it would, but it's not the most fluent animation. There is a frame or so that I didn't add, and there are no inbetweens.

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
Yes, I also think this is pretty nice work. Star's gate seems a little stuff, but overall this is a very nice attempt at animation! :icon299:

Right. I spent more time on the first frame, which is more detailed. I was mostly, like you said, focused on getting the movement of his legs right.

His head is probably not bigger in the first frame, but more detailed. At least that's the case when I animate - the first few frames have more care put into how the character looks (getting all Balto's facial proportions right for instance) , but that gets neglected as the work progresses and I start to focus more on movement :P

This looks fine nonetheless though. More of your own style is in it, which I like.

Really good :)

Thank you. I was concerned that my frames would end up being inconsistent in size. If there are any incontinences, you can't really tell, but it I could swear Star's head was bigger in the first drawing. lol His head movement was a mistake, but it actually made the drawing better. lol No living creature has a still head while moving.

If anyone is curious, I was using this video is a reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhnTcRE6_P4

Thanks!

It would have been much easier if I had used tracing paper. I was using thick sketch paper that doesn't allow for a lot of light to pass through it.

If I get the motivation, I'll see about fixing this animation up. lol

Very impressive good job not easy to make animations using a paper medium
