Aleu: My Version
This idea has been in my mind for a while: what if Kodi and Aleu were reversed and Aleu never encountered the hunter, never found out about her wolf heritage and became a mail dog in Wings of Change? Meanwhile, her brother inadvertently found out from another source (someone blurting it out. idk) and ran away like a crybaby instead?
In terms of design, I've obviously just copied the design that Aleu was born with, which lacked the nose marking and her dark ears. However, I've added more red to her coat by mixing Balto's main fur colour (#72573C) and Jenna's main fur colour (#911100), which resulted in a nice orange-brown shade. She also has Balto's biggish ears, his long muzzle and his eyes but more closely resembles her mother. I know she looks very much like a Jenna clone but the fact that she hardly resembled Jenna in WQ really bothered me, especially since she looked like Jenna to begin with anyway.
Personality-wise, she's the same throughout her youth but becomes slightly more mature when she reaches adulthood and gets her job. However, rather than being a whiny brat, she becomes something of an egomaniac, constantly bragging about how Balto is her father and how she's the only one in the litter who looks like him. Y'know, actually thankful for her father's care and proud of him?
Nearly everyone's done a 'cleaned up' Aleu so I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. lol

I know nothing about Mean Girls, so I'll have to take your word for
it. This Gretchen character doesn't sound very likeable, though. |

DT - the keywords are "something of an egomaniac", I wouldn't describe
her as being fully-fledged. She's full of herself and cares very
little for her fellow teammates (aside from probably Dusty). On the
other hand, she cares for her family but only because they're a source
of support and are 'on the same level' as her, anything happening to
them would cause some inconvenience for her. I wanted her to be proud
of Balto but I also wanted to put a twist on it, so she's not a Mary
Sue like nearly all the characters of the franchise. The personality I had in mind for her is akin to Gretchen Wieners from Mean Girls (who Lacey Chabert also played). She often brings up her father and the fame he's earned to defend herself when she gets caught in a situation she can't talk her way out of, like Gretchen does. |

I'm not sure I would equate being an egomaniac with being thankful for
her father's care. Egomaniacs, by definition, tend to be
self-centered, whereas really being thankful at least implies
others-centeredness. You can't really be thankful for someone's love
if you think you deserve to have the world handed to you on a silver
platter anyway. |
