Dakota revamp
Updated his looks. Made him more wolfy, aside from his curly tail, his physique is still a bit bigger than his father's but much smaller than his original self, gave him some bite marks in his ear, brightened up his colors and gave him a nifty little soul-patch.
He's also got a new history:
Purchased by a musher who was new to the town (Samuel Dixon) who was stuck between buying two of Steele's sons, or buying one and one son of Balto. Dixon went with the latter, and bought Iron and Dakota and trained them. Balto and Steele were friends when they were young, then grew apart and became enemies. Iron and Dakota's friendship developed opposite of that. Iron and Dakota didn't get along well at first, having rivaling fathers and all, but learned that they had more in common than they thought and became good friends, despite their family history.
One day, Dixon was running his team when he saw a thick ice bridge formation appear over the ocean. Being either bold or a fool, he took his team across the ice. It actually took a couple days. Unsure of how thick or thin the ice was further down the way, Dixon left his team behind to try it on his own. He never came back. Worried Dakota told his team that he was going to look for Dixon. Iron went with him in case he needed help.
The two made their way to the other side to dry land, and with no sign of Dixon. Tho at the beach, they were ambushed by some wolves, until a familiar face appeared. It was Aleu reunited with her brother. Iron and Dakota took refuge with the wolves for a few days, and understood that the pack wasn't doing so well under Aleu's lead. Dakota decided to butt his big sister out of her alpha role and take over the pack, asking his best friend Iron to take the team back to Nome.
From there on, Dakota led Aleu's pack and was a great prosperous leader for them, teaching the pack to hunt more than just caribou. He taught them how to hunt rabbits, beavers, birds, and even an individual wolf can catch an injured deer if they do it right.
Years of leading, Dakota was desiring a mate. and in a nearby home, he saw a beautiful bright collie mix living outside of her home. Her name was Rose-Red, and Dakota whisked her away to live in the wild. She lived with him for a while, but knew she couldn't possibly survive out there long. So frightened and pregnant, Rose-Red went back to her humans. Dakota came back for her, but she couldn't leave with the pups. He asked to take care of one, and she permitted it. Dakota later found a mate within the pack.

Not only has the design improved, bit you can definatly see major
improvement in style and linearting here too. It's gotten musch
smoother and prettier. And he looks great too! < 3 Awesome work! |
