Golden Morn

My half of a trade with Matsu, featuring her character Yana. (This is only one of the three versions I have of this picture - I was uncertain which one to choose as the official piece to send)

I was going to add some baby birds (ducks, I thought); Yana was to be herding them along to some safe haven. My favourite thing about Yana is her habit of caring for creatures smaller than herself. As the picture turned out, the ducklings wouldn't quite fit . . .

So, anyway, here it is, Matsu. I hope you like it and Merry Christmas.

Painted with acrylics over oil pastels, with added watercolour pencil - enhanced digitally . . .

So good!

You're welcome. Also, I think the idea you had originally is something I'd like to see; I don't know as the lighting for this would do it justice, because this seems to suggest an almost spiritual scene like Jacob's Ladder, but the concept itself is good.
