Deep in the Woodlands

Deep in the Woodlands - A picture for this day, a special day for me :) . . . Here are Balto, Jenna and their pups on an outing in the forest. Young Kodi playfully takes a mouthful of his father's tail. (Now, the ''tail-grabbing'' feature wasn't very creative of me, since somebody - as I found out rather too late - appears to have used it for a Balto pic already - http://pre13.deviantart.net/2a00/th/pre/f/2012/173/b/7/daddy__by_diggittydawg-d54fz44.png - oh dear and oh well!).

Making this picture in a way inspired me to start up the Family Portrait contest. It was drawn with colouring pencils and ballpoint pen.

I forgot about this contest. oops. At least there's time yet, and I think I'm going to start over. I also need to buy a new pack of colored pencils (even though I could do this digitally, traditional art is just easier) since I misplaced mine

Nice drawing! I quite like the colors!

	O' Cap'n My Cap'n!

You really are incredible at this stuff! And your style is surely unique!

I love the energy in this drawing...there's lots of motion! And the background IS amazing! You're one of the few who generates realistic backgrounds in this community, and that's something to be very proud of.

Thank you, everyone!

If you thought of the tail-grabbing bit without outside influence, then I don't think someone else having done it too makes it less creative.

All in all, I think you did an excellent job.

	Meh.

I admire your abilities with colored pencils, you make your drawings so vivid and intriguing. There's just something about how the color pops that's made me revisit this image a few times within the past day.
