You're a Bad Dog
Something that has always bugged me about fan versions of Balto's children: the vast majority of them make the perfect house pet. The canon idea of Kodi being a mail dog hardly counts since his job clearly keeps him stimulated but the thought of wolfdogs just lounging about and being obedient makes me scratch my head a little. Obviously, I've never owned a dog with a drop of wolf blood in him/her but I can't imagine them to be as 'tame' as ordinary dogs.
So, here's Cottrell doing wolfish things and obeying his 'kill' command. The unfortunate victim in this case is an expensive pearl necklace. Needless to say, he gets thrown out not long after this happens. lol

Love the concept ! I also agree, that Wolf dogs tend to be
destructive.  It does depend on the amount of Wolf present though.

JC - Yeah, Cottrell is my version of the Aleu twin. This is probably
my third version of it as well. The previous two have been female,
though. I'm probably going to leave the red-faced pup alone for the
time being. c: As for everyone else, I probably didn't put too much thought into this theory as I should've done and, to tell you the truth, your comments made me realize that every single canine character in Balto is just well-behaved and obedient in the eyes of humans, anyway (with the exception of Aleu, even though she happily bounded up to one with a gun). So, yeah, I kinda wanted to break that cliche with Cottrell, because I find rebellious characters more interesting like that. xD |

Not even purebred or mixed-bred dog is necessarily a little angel.
Hell, even generally well-trained and normally well-behaved dogs
can sometimes be "naughty"...they're dogs. Mischief is in the blood.
TRUST me on this. Heh...It's a nice spin on things. And rather amusing. "Cottrell"...I guess that's your own name for that particular unnamed pup in Balto & Jenna's litter? The red "Aleu clone"? |
