This is great, Windhowler! I love how you made Aleu look strong and confident.

I'm guessing that you've been at this for a long time.

To do the trees, I started with orange for the trunks, which I then patched with red.

I did the branches next, beginning with dark green, followed by light green and yellow for where the sun highlights the foliage; I then patched the trees with some orange for the impression of there being a few dead branches. I used black for shadowing.

How did you do the trees? The branches in the background are especially intriguing. Did you start with the lighter colors and then add in the darker tones (i.e. light green, dark green, and then a touch of brown), or was it the other way around?
