Yes the practice is needed from using a graphics tablet as I am used to hand drawing something with pencil, scanning it and then "inking" it in Paint (or similar) using the line tools and a mouse before transferring to Photoshop for colour etc. With a tablet I can do everything in Photoshop but I am used to looking down at my hand with a pencil as I sketch, not at the screen... But I am certainly enjoying it and building up the layers from rough sketches to fine detail is very satisfying. I'm working on a new one at present which I hope to post in a few days time.

Acanis is actually a very accomplished artist. It would simply appear that he hasn't had much practice with this particular medium, according to what he said. I've never known of him rushing anything.

You did this on your first try? Okay, now I want a tablet.
Word of advice: don't rush art. I'm not good at visual art, but I'm a writer, and I rarely get anywhere trying to rush myself there. You did a good thing here by taking the time to do it right. Keep it up.
