Snow Spirit Totem
At the age of thirteen ,Yupik Chlidren are given their totem based on their personality traits. Animal spirits enter the totem to guide you and can locate where you are with your aura. At 13 Julie received a wolf totem , but she threw it away and amaroq lost contact. She couldn't be protected from what was yet to come.
