I was watching Balto(movie) the other day and when the scene with Aniu came on, I thought, is she alive in this movie? I'm not sure, but it doesn't show in anyway that shes not living. She walks up to Balto and she doesn't vanish, she walks away and leaves pawprints in the snow. When she comes back though you do see her appear suddenly but it was a blizzard,  so she could have just stepped through the snow.

I'm also writing a fanfic about this, but I think that theres a chance that she was alive in this movie, although she could have died between the first and second movie.

This could go both ways but as far as I see it(I'm a practicle perosn) is that there was a wolf print left in the snow. Meaning Aniu was alive. I dis agreed with balto 2 all together because a spirit is un real to me, let alone one that could have such a big impact on Balto, Alue and the others. Other then that part I liked the 2 movie( other then the lazy art work done on it). So to me I supose I would say she was alive in the first and died before the second when she became an inpraticle spirit.

well duh yes she was alive, if aniu was not alive balto would be like dead so...ya aniu was alive......but in the movies she is a good spirt -Kiona-Luv

Well guys, Aleu_Wolfdog is asking if Aniu died sometime in between the first and second movie. It's clear she's a ghost in the second, but the question is if she is dead or alive in the first movie. Which from what i know, is unknown. There are arguments to go with whether she's alive, or a ghost.

Shes a spirit. If you watch the second movie you'll find out that shes a spirit.
