I was thinking of doing a render of one of my chars with his best friend and one of them has floppy ears, so how do I render the ears?

You'll need to draw them yourself, or maybe render an image from "The Lady and The Tramp". Lol, either way, good luck.
Another helpful piece of advice is to Google search images of dogs with floppy ears.
Trace over those to get a feel for the ear shape before actually rendering your image.
