do you have to have 1000 words on a fanfic?

Conay_White_Star_line

As everyone has said, 1000 is the MINIMUM amount of words, and I think the max is around 60 pages? Although, we would suggest not posting a fanfic over 30 pages long.

The only exeption is, if your fanfic is a poem, then the minimum is 50 words, because there rather short.

If you have a really short fanfic, please post it on the forums:

Hope this helped.

Best regards

I don't know as you need a particular number.

You do need to have at least 1,000 words in your fanfic, but like emily said, that is the minimum, not the maximum. This rule was created to prevent really short fanfics, so if you want to put up a poem or something like that, you'll have to put it on your profile or post it on the forums. have fun!

Yes. That is the minimum amount of words you must have to be able to send a fanfic in. This means you can have more than 1000 words, but not below 1000. You can make your fanfic as long as you want! ;]
