This question has been floating around in my head for awhile. Can i use a name for one of my characters that was already used in a published book in my fanfics?(The name i plan on using is the name of a minor character in the book) i will of course state that the name wasn't original to me. If you want any more detailed information, just ask.

You can use the name, just not the EXACT character from the book you're reading. Names are different than the specific character from the book.
