Moderators not only ban and lock topics, they are supposedly the "filter" fanworks, topics, and pretty much everything go through before getting displayed on the site. These mods prevent bad-looking images, bad fanfics, questions, arts, spamming, and more, resulting in a clean and kept site. To become a moderator, you must be asked by a moderator or Steet himself. Webrankers, on the other hand, basically advertise the site to other sites, and this is a rank you can ask to become. I hope this explains it!
