does anyone know how to make a website like this one

I'm a programmer, I coded the site entirely "manually" (except for a few things like the forums)
It's done with the PHP language (which generates HTML pages dynamically - browsers only understand the HTML language), and a MySQL database.

If you wish to make a site, there are two choices :

- Go to a site like freewebs, which offers to make a site very easily and hosts them for free (with adverts). But, you won't be able to do everything : the choices of what to include on your site will be limited.

- Or you start on the basics, and study HTML, then PHP/MySQL, and you'll be able to do everything you want. Of course it's harder, but that's the only way to make a site like Balto Source.

Anyway, if you wish to start making a good site, go on Google and search for "how to make a website". It's that
easy.

Yes, makeing a site like this, would be tricky. There is alot of html codes involved.

Well, if you want a forum site like this one, it's very hard. You have to deal with a lot of tricky stuff like html code. However, you could make a simple forum using proboards: http://www.freewebs.com If you want to make your site from scratch, you can use dreamweaver. There are other programs, but they aren't used as much. Dreamweaver would be hard to used though. You'd habe to study up on how to use it if you really wanted to make a forum from scratch...even a regular site from scratch would be tricky. Hope that helped a bit^^

I don't know...but using fan art by another artist without their permission is suicide in the Balto fan community. Did you get Katikut's permission to use one of her pieces of artwork as an avatar? If not, I'd suggest you change it fast, and then go ask her if you can use it (then, IF she says yes, you can change it back). If you have already, then my apologies. If NOT, then show some courtesy to the artist in question (and the others as well).

Well if you want to make a site about Balto and you don`t want to learn about html,then go to homestead.com.You may have to pay monthly,but it`s worth it.
