VGFAN
I looked at the Project just now and found that there are some asking for help on movies. I have a few questions about that,
1.) How can people act (as in voices) out the characters. Most people live clear across the world. What is used for it?
2.) What would be the best program for movie/feature film animation(one that can be easy to save and send to other people a lot)
3.) Does anyone know a way to make paper animations that are scanned into full-length animations?
Thanx
Griffin
Alright, I know that I'm basically saying what the others had said,
and though I am opposed to one's doing of that, I wish to contribute
more..clear answers, as one may say. (btw, I'm sorry for the monstrous
length..and if you already know all of this, I don't care - it's fun
typing up useless information :D)
For the voice actors,
you must have a recording system and a microphone. Cheap but good ones
can often be found for $10 - $20, and that's what I'd recommend;
though, I guess if you really want quality, you can get one of the
mics that are in the $20 - $30 area, but I wouldn't go for that if I
were you. =/ For the recording system, there are plenty of free
downloads on the net. You could buy one, but I would go for a free one
- for the easiest download, try StepVoice - it's not "all that", but
it's made for recording. =] But computers these days are likely to
already come with one, often found in the Start button area. To upload
the voice recording, go to box.net - easiest and best way to do it.
YouTube is a possibility, but box.net is a better place (it's much
less of a hassle).
For animation, I would use Flash. It
costs money, most of the time (or so I think), but that's a true
animation program. I don't recommend Windows Movie Maker, but that
costs no money, so I guess it's an easy cheat.
For the
paper part..just draw one frame (picture of movement) on one piece,
then the next. It would take a while, but that's the way to do it. To
make it "look good", you'd need a program for editing it, like
Photoshop; that'll get it inked, colored, and shaded. Now, I don't
know how everyone else does it, but that's the way I know. Hey, I'm no
professional - just trying to give advice.

Already people have stated they need only voice recordings. Also, the
animation...Ypu may want to do it on Iaza but you could always do
cells...or the new way(since the last disney movie they used for that
was The Little Mermaid and that was maid waaayyy back). You basically
get the idea. You may want to use Flash(like music says, and he says it
costs money and you might not want to use it,something like that). I
would not suggest Windows Movie Maker...I have it myself and all it
does(or should do) is help you make movies! I would first design the
characters and draw them in diffrent positions a few times to get the
hang of it. Then you can scan the frames in(that you've done with that
character(s) and so on) and use a program to animate. Of course, iaza's
pretty easy so if you've never animated before you should go on iaza. |
