There are two types of avatars, site and forum.
Site: Click
"Edit my profile", then press "Add an Avatar" there should come up a
button saying "Browse", click on that, and search your computer for an
avatar.
Forum: Click "User Control Panel", than "profile", for
witch you have to press the tab "Avatar Settings", then will come up a
form, where you can Browse (Just like on the site), use links (From
programs like Photobucket), and search down the forum Gallery: (Balto
and TLK pics included ONLY)

But make sure you have a good, safe picture you like! If not, get one from your camera, GoogleImages, etc.

exately what Silver said, you just click "Edit my profile" then "change my avatar" and you can upload one from your machine or put the URL...after you have to save and *puf* you got an avatar!
