in the movuie he hade 3 friends nikki a stupid one and a tall one,they all are against balto but in the movie when steel left they all talked bad about him why did they ?friends dont talk behind there back.

Steele isn't really their friend. I assume they only pretend to agree
with him because he's very intimidating. They are actually afraid of
him, if you look at Star closely in the alleyway scene so may see him
cringe when Steele howls. Star is mainly the one who shows the most
sign of fear, Kaltag and Niki rarely have been seen showing any signs
of fear.

They're not really Steele's friend. They actually hate Steele. They only act like his friend because they are scared of him. (And their names are Nikki, Kaltag, & Star)
