He could be. Maybe a cross between Chinook and Husky. Or maybe full Chinook. That could be the reason.

Uhm, no, Jenna is a husky. Shes way to small to be a Malamute.

Actually, we don't know what Kaltag's breed is. Alot of people say he
is a Chinook. So you can't go by that. The two breeda re different
sizes.

Kaltag isnt that small he's taller then Balto if u' haven't noticed
look at when Star and Balto are side by side when Star presents him
with the harness, Star and Balto are about the same height Kaltag's
taller. its just Steel is massive in size i wouldn't put it past him
if someone said steel was around the same size as the white wolf in
the first film. And umm no most think Kaltag's a Chinook not a husky
and after comparing a few pictures of the two i guess he is a
chinnook. Im not sure if the breed is normally taller then huskys in
that case
