yes you can use others chars name but not the char!

it's ok if it's only a coincidence. But I totally agree with
Cat. Don't choose a name just because someone else you know
is using it.

Only if it's coincidence, otherwise your character's name is
pretty much meaningless.

Its ok if its a coincidence, but names should be special for
characters. You shouldn't pick a name just because someone
else is using it. That makes your character's name next to
meaningless. You should pick a name that suits your
character best, not one that suits someone else's character
best. And you SURELY should not try to get a name that is
similar to someone else's character...that just makes it
lame with more or less effort than copying. I suggest going
to 20000-names.com and pick one from there. It gives you the
name and its meaning and its gender. And since there are
20000 names on it, chances are you won't have the same name
for your character as someone else's. Who knows, you'll more
than likely find a name you like better.

Is that hpw you thought of the name "Stunner",
catwhohas14tails? Just wondering.

i agree, the same thing happened to me with my character
Strike. Its ALMOST the same as 'Striker' in a 'Dustys true
story.'
