I just went on vacation, and when I came back,I noticed a new fanfic option called "Restore a previous fic" Or something like that.

Why is it there, and what does it do?

I think you can save your fic a few times while writing your
fic, so that you don't lose any of it, and then if you press
the wrong button on your keyboard or something else happens
to make your fic disappear, you can press the "restore a
previous fic" button and you should be able to get your fic
back. So really i think it means that if your fic disapears
while writing you can just click in the restore fic button.
But remember you have to have saved your fic first.

This option saves a backup copy of your fanfic.
