Sheba

XD means that someone is either laughing or really smiley.
Let me explain. See the X? The X is supposed to be the
person's eyes closed tightly and the D is the mouth wide
opened. XD is a fast, simple way to put a smiley in
messages without the hassle of going through all of the
others there are to select. Its like :3 for kissing
someone, ect.

It's just a cheapy smiley. No abbreviations or anything,
just a plain o'l smiley.
