Viruses are rare nowadays, it's more spywares to be careful
of. Make sure you have enough protections on your
computer...that's the only solution. (especially, use a
firewall such as Zonealarm, it is free)

I do it all the time. There's nothing dangerous there.
Steet wouldn't put them up if we'd get a virus when we
access them. ;D

I can't see why you would get a virus. Viruses can only be
transported to your computer when you download something. So
you will be okay
