Say your making a desktop, and you have a screenshot. But you only whant the background, not the characters that are in it. Is there any way too delete the charactes and keep the background?

No. However, there is a way to get rid of them. But it will
ruin the desktop. You need a program. You cannot use MS
paint. Unless you want to erase for hours. But anyways, you
need a program, like photoshop, or if you want, you can
download photofiltre (for free). First, you put the image on
a new file. Then there is a tool, shaped like a magic wand.
Click that. Then where you want (where the characters are)
it will make a animated dotted line, on your keyboard, there
is a button called, "delete". Use that, then re-use it where
ever. But make sure the characters stand out! Or else it
will take the background. Hope this helped.
